C#/ASP.NET Software Developer

Salary: £25,000 - £45,000

This developer will engage in the following activities and be fully or partially responsible (depending on size and scope of the implementation) for the following deliverables during each cycle:

  • Conduct development programming activities for major/challenging tasks and for time critical events
  • Maintain existing products products and support helpdesk whenever needed
  • Responsible to test developments from n-to-n before release to Testing Team
  • Evaluate, redesign and modify existing program logic to quickly and efficiently meet and exceed customer needs, by integrating new requirements and by applying proven development paths
  • Participate in internal analyst facing meetings/discussions
  • Translate identified business needs and the requirements into software needs, with appropriate levels of documentation; and to identify/provide technical scenarios by analyzing those needs
  • To prepare those technical specifications; to define and create data validations, unit testing, and processing requirements

Expected to:

  • Have university degree, preferable in Computer Science/Software Engineering but development experience is of more importance
  • Have 1 – 2 years development experience
  • Have knowledge on Object Orientated Design
  • Have proven experience in two or more of the following; ASPX, C#, Web Controls (Client and Server), Ajax, jQuery, JScript and T-SQL, MS SQL database design and performance tuning
  • Have proven experience of complex (multiple developer) application development
  • Have effective communication skills; be able to effectively communicate with internal staff
  • Handle multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously
  • Identify and design most efficient and cost effective solution through research and evaluation of alternatives

Regional Sales/Account Executive

Location: South of England
Salary: £18,000 - £24,000 per annum + Car + Commission
Type: Permanent

Previous experience in working in the education sector (preferable but not essential)

An outstanding opportunity exists to join the market leaders of electronic registration for schools and colleges throughout the UK. We are looking for an experienced, positive, and highly motivated Demonstrator / Account Executive to join our South Regional team. Living and operating out of the South of England area, you will come from a customer focused and services led environment.

Job Functions:

  • Maintaining good relationship with user schools, colleges and Local Authorities
  • Responsibility for: generating sales leads when visiting schools in field work
  • Presentations to authorities for large LA based deals
  • Maintain regular contact with exiting and prospect schools
  • Demonstration of company software and hardware products
  • Follow up and close school sales prospects
  • Proactively generate upgrade sales for existing clients; through regular contact calls and visits where required
  • Manage projects as defined by Regional Operational Supervisor on the full range of software products
  • The planning and delivery of training clients on our attendance, assessment and behaviour monitoring software
  • Providing feedback on from customers on the company products

Business Analyst

Domain experience in UK schools MIS/education market is preferred.

Job Description
As a Business Analyst, you will join the BA team and act as a key liaison between product users and the development team. You will play an integral role in facilitating changes to business processes and information systems and will be a key contributor in successfully transitioning projects to steady state operation. This Business Analyst deals with small to medium sized projects which involve a limited number of systems or business areas and are rated low-medium complexity and risk. You may also assist on larger projects/changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Requirements planning, gathering, analysis, documentation, and communication
  • Prepare test plans, detailed test cases and estimate test effort
  • Assist developers with unit and system testing and conduct thorough acceptance testing.
  • Follow the project management methodology
  • Implementation planning and post-implementation improvements for training, conversion and roll-out
  • Assist with preparing detailed solution designs; participate in review, assessment, selection and customization of purchased solutions
  • Participate in implementation planning and provide support during implementation, verification and data conversion activities
  • Assist with development of user documentation (i.e. new systems implementations)
  • Assist with preparing and delivering training to trainers or users

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Domain experience in UK schools MIS/education market is preferred
  • Post secondary education in Business and/or Computer Science with relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of Project Management methodology and processes
  • Competent in the use of basic BA tools and knowledgeable, processes & tools
  • General knowledge of Business Analysis practices, especially requirements management and testing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams

Salary: Negotiable subject to experience and relevant domain experience
