The fully integrated student data management product suite

Galaxy comprises of the three key modules: Teacher's WebFolder (browser-based recording of, and access to, Student Data), MyChildAtSchool (Online Parent Portal) and the Bromcom VLE (Virtual Learning Environment).

Combining Teacher's WebFolder with the MyChildAtSchool Parent Portal covers your school's requirement for Teacher and Parent access to essential pupil information. Bromcom's VLE is a collection of essential teaching and learning aids for pupils and teachers, delivered via a secure web portal. The Bromcom VLE operates as a layer above the your MIS making relevant information available to verified users. Staff can create Lesson Plans, Assignments and Quizzes for pupils to complete online. The Bromcom VLE interface has been designed to be user friendly and intuitive to use, both for teachers and pupils.

For SIMS.net users without Bromcom e-Registration, an alternative to rolling out SIMS.net into classrooms

Teacher's WebFolder SD (SIMSDirect) is a cost effective and easier alternative to rolling out SIMS.net into classrooms for teacher access.

Record behavioural events into SIMS Lesson Monitor and / or SIMS Attendance. If it is in active use, assessment entries can also be made into SIMS Assessment Manager and SIMS Profiles.

Implemented with the support of Capita's Technical Partnership agreement, using Capita’s Interface, which ensures 100% compatibility with SIMS.net. The required software is simply installed on the existing SIMS server.

The most user-friendly Parent Portal for Online Reporting

MyChildAtSchool is a portal for parents that enables them to view their child's performance at school in real-time via a web browser. The facility allows the child's attendance, grades and behaviour to all be accessed whenever the parent/carer wants.  As well as pupil performance data, the portal also provides general information about school, such as the school calendar and any important announcements.

Parents no longer need to wait for the termly report to obtain information about their child, they can check whenever they want for up-to-date information. Parents will therefore take a more pro-active role in the development of their child's education.

The Bromcom VLE is a collection of essential teaching supports for pupils and teachers via a secure web portal. Staff can create lesson plans, assignments and quizzes online for pupils to complete online. This not only helps motivate pupils by educating them via a different medium, they are also taught autonomy at a younger age. The Bromcom VLE operates as a layer above the Bromcom MIS making relevant information available to verified users.
